Rachael studied BA(Hons)
Surface Pattern Design at the University of Wales. The question is often
asked as to what Surface Pattern means? To those of you puzzled by
this the Degree has enabled Rachael to work in various different media
from Paper, Textiles, Photography to Digital Imagery along with working in
both two and three dimensional forms. Whilst at University Rachael also
discovered the magic of working with Glass and continues to do so today.
This website allows you an insight into Rachael's work. Rachael
designs and creates both installation pieces and giftware which are designed both in structure and the surface pattern engraved onto them.
Rachael's work started in exploring the area of sandblasting and kiln work and since
leaving the facilities of University she now has her own studio to explore further techniques within kiln work. As a result
Rachael has displayed her work in two local exhibitions and produced private
commissions.
